"Ahmanet understood that power was not given. It had to be taken."
Dr. Henry Jekyll[src]

Ahmanet's Campaign was an attempt by the Ancient Egyptian Princess Ahmanet to use the Dagger of Set to implant Set into the body of a mortal man so that she may rule the world with him as king and queen.

History

Assassination of Menehptre

In 2983 B.C., Princess Ahmanet was denied the title of pharaoh due to her father King Menehptre having fathered a son with his second wife. Out of revenge, Ahmanet summoned the Egyptian god of death, storms, and chaos, Set, and was given the Dagger of Set to implant Set into the body of a mortal man.[1]

Assassination of Menehptre

Ahmanet prepares to assassinate Menehptre.

Armed with the Dagger of Set, Ahmanet snuck into her father's bedroom while he was asleep. Ahmanet slit his throat with the Dagger, and did the same to her stepmother and infant brother. However, just as she was about to complete her end of the bargain by sacrificing her lover to Set, Menehptre's loyal temple priests discovered Ahmanet's betrayal. After her lover was slain by the priests, Ahmanet was captured and forcibly mummified alive. Her captors buried her in Mesopotamia (which would eventually become part of Iraq), revealing the location of her tomb to no one. Ahmanet was assumed to be dead for the next 5000 years.[1]
